Authentic Stories, Comedy, and Being Muslim with Summer Adhal

Today, my guest is Muslim-American sketch comedian Summer Adhal. Summer is interested in authentic stories and using comedy to relay them. We unpacked a whole load of topics during this episode, including the Muslim-American experience, being a woman on the comedy scene, hijab, and perhaps even Summer’s cat.

Since this coming Wednesday, March 27, is Muslim Women’s Day, this is particularly timely episode. Summer is a good friend of mine, and it was a pleasure to chat with her about these important and bottomless topics.

On this week’s episode I interview Sakeenah Aleem, founder of My Brown Sparklez.  My Brown Sparklez is a lifestyle website designed to inspire people to create, live, and love in a sustainable way.

Sakeenah and I had an enriching conversation on:

1. Sustainable fashion.
2. Uncovering your purpose.
3. Facing your fears.
4. Learning to love
5. Being authentic
6. Learning what it is you want to do and how to make it happen!

This interview filled me with such joy!  I hope you bring some of that into your life by listening to or watching this interview.
