Personal Stories From My Marketing Vault

It has been a fascinating time to run any kind of marketing campaign.

Especially paid ads.

Especially FB + IG ads. 😂

This week I want to share with you 3 stories.

And through those stories, you’ll find exactly what you’ve been looking for.

That is how storytelling works.

My goal is to move away from giving people advice.

Or telling them what I think is best for them.

And instead, create experiences where they can find the answers for themselves.

Because the answers you seek are already within you.

Our job is to go within and have the courage and presence to discover them.

You got this.

I believe in you.

If you’re ready for your next adventure.

Then hit play on this week’s episode.

P.S.

If you’re ready to unlock your own doors to the marketing genius inside of you…

…then you’re a perfect candidate for our Immersion Program.

We don’t believe in spoon-feeding people prescribed answers.

We believe in giving you the tools & skills you need to discover your own solutions.

So if you’re ready to unleash the storyteller within you then come join us.

Finding Purpose Makes You Unstoppable With Jaye Washington

“Finding your purpose will make you unstoppable.”

When Jaye Washington invoked this mantra I knew it had to be the title of this week’s episode.

Having a north star amidst the storms of life can make all the difference.

With all the clutter of social media, the year 2020 has been, and the ups and downs of just living, discovering what our inner-compass is can be easier said than done.

That is why I am so grateful Jaye has joined us as this week’s guest.

Jaye is an expert at creating a transparent and uncut safe space for all things adulting.

Whether it is through her podcast (The School of Life), her online academy (The School of Life Academy), or as the CEO and Chief Communications Consultant at The Savvy

Solution - Jaye expertly delivers the kind of advice you write on sticky notes and stick to your mirror.

At the heart of this episode is Jaye’s insights on we can translate pain into purpose.

Jaye also speaks on the importance of giving yourself grace, embracing who you are as an individual, and role models we can look to for inspiration.

Touching upon her experience as a CEO, Jaye also shared some valuable advice on running a business, managing a team, marketing your key message, and connecting with your audience.

She shared with us her 4 Step Strategy Formula for Creating Your Business Strategy.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I’m telling you - this episode with Jaye is fire.

Do yourself a favor.

Get ready.

Then hit play.

Here we go.

Gifts for My Child Episode 3

Featuring: Jasmine Star, Mitch del Monico, Intisar Seraaj, Vivi Devereaux

I am grateful that I get to share with you the third installment of my Gifts for My Child series. As I’ve mentioned, if you haven’t listened to episode 1 already, I highly recommend you start there.

It was really a beautiful process meeting with those I care about and asking them to offer advice to my yet to be born child. I learned new things about each person I interviewed, and really had important conversations with them.

As I was editing these episodes, what really stood out to me was the power of offering advice to someone we have yet to meet.

Whether you’re looking for some inspiration, a spark of hope, or a thought-provoking listen, then be sure to join us on this week’s episode.

Gifts for My Child Ft. Adaora

This project has been a long time in the making. As our daughter’s due date was approaching, I decided that I wanted to host a series of interviews where I asked people to share their advice with my yet to be born child.

That quest led me to interview almost 20 people. The conversations I had were absolutely beautiful and have brought tears to my eyes many times.

Over the next several weeks, I will be sharing with you those interviews. Even if you don’t have a child, I know you will be moved by the conversations I had and you may even find some great advice you can apply to your life.

I am launching this series, entitled “Gifts for My Child”, with a conversation I had with Adaora less than 24 hours before our child was due to arrive.

Building a Digital Community with Matt Sedillo

A few weeks ago, I was interviewed by Matt Sedillo about how to launch and/or grow your business online. Especially with everything in the world happening right now, more and more people are looking for ways to generate income through their art, side hustle, or business.

In addition to sharing some really actionable advice, Matt also asked me some great questions on my origin story and how I came to launch my Facebook ads agency.

Whether you’re looking for tools to level up your marketing skills or are curious to learn more about my story, I know you’ll get a lot out of this episode!

Black Lives Matter Justice League With Dermot Givens

If you’re a long time listener you’ll know that I rarely share replay episodes but this was one episode I had to share as a replay.

In 2017, I sat down with social justice activist and lawyer, Dermot Givens. We dug deep on current topics, his life journey, and shared a phenomenal dialogue about issues that are prevalent in society today.

Dermot has been an activist his whole life and is also a member of the Black Lives Matter Justice League. He is the first and only lawyer in CA to win a criminal case defending a Black Lives Matter activist.

Here are some of my favorite questions Dermot answered during his in-depth interview:

1. Is it possible to have a fair trial?

2. What is the Black Lives Matter Justice League?

3. What is a person's reaction, when they are serving a life sentence, and they first hear they have been given parole? (Dermot helps people with life sentences receive parole).

4.  What legal advice do you have for activists?

5.  Do you have any legal advice for entrepreneurs who are getting started?

6.  What is a plea bargain and what is its relationship to the prison industrial complex?

Tune in to this very special interview below.

A Q&A Session With Close Friends

In this week’s episode, I host a special Q&A session with some of my awesome friends for an intimate and engaging opportunity. I allow my friends to ask any questions they like - including questions around politics, privilege in the coaching space, how to grow an audience as a musician, advice for creatives about how to get over the feeling of vulnerability when you’re putting out new work, how to decide which social media platforms to leverage if you have limited time and more.

What I love about Q&A sessions is that you are sure to find some clarity related to questions that you’ve also been wondering.

Q&A is my favorite form of content because instead of general advice, I can provide specific and nuanced feedback according to the asker’s concerns. I enjoy hearing the range of topics my friends are working on.

If any questions come up for you be sure to reach out on social media or email me at tom@tomearl.com.
